Profile
Phil spent 15 years practising in Norfolk before moving to East Sussex in 2004. Since being in
East Sussex, Phil has worked for two of the largest local law firms but in 2010 decided to set up
his own practice.
He specialises in asset preservation for families of those with a learning disability, Inheritance Tax Planning via Wills and Trusts, Estate Administration involving Business and Agricultural interests
and elderly client issues, particularly Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection applications.
Phil regularly lectures and holds legal clinics on behalf of many local and national charities
including Mencap, Age Concern, The Carers Centre and Self Unlimited.

- Committee member and Student Liaison Officer for the Sussex
branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners
- Member of The Law Society Probate Section
- Member of Solicitors for the Elderly

- Trained bereavement counsellor
- Phil has also written and presented training programmes for Legal Network Television,
part of the College of Law
- Pro Bono Legal Executive of the Year 2009/10
- Law Society Excellence Award for Legal Executive of the Year 2011
Hobbies
In his spare time Phil likes to keep fit whilst challenging himself and raising money for charity.
Recently, Phil has completed the London to Brighton Cycle ride for The British Heart Foundation,
undertaken a tandem parachute jump for The Martlets Hospice and completed the inaugural
Brighton Marathon for Pride in Brighton & Hove. Phil is currently planning his next challenge!
