Powers of Attorney

Court of Protection
If an individual loses mental capacity (and does not have in place an appropriate type of
Power of Attorney) an application can be made to the Court of Protection for an order to
look after the finances of or to take welfare decisions on behalf of that person. In these
cases we can help obtain the court orders and then assist in administration of finances
and making welfare decisions.
