Renaissance Legal were incredibly helpful providing comprehensive legal advice regarding Will and Trust issues relating to a family member's illness. Sarah was very approachable and kept us informed throughout the process and, importantly, transparent about all the costs too. A highly professional service and we felt Renaissance really had the interest of the client at heart.
Stuart was brilliant, he guided us through every step and was really patient as we took quite a bit of time to think things through before finalising our documents. Many thanks to Stuart and the wider team, lovely people, great service and peace of mind for us for the future. Would highly recommend to other families who are considering a Trust.
This was a first class seminar. Professional but humane and clearly delivered by people who utterly understand what challenges the audience is facing. I couldn't fault it. We need to think about whether a Trust is the right way forward in our case but you provided all the tools we needed to get to grips with the decision. The help with Wills and Letters of Wishes was as valuable as the info on Trusts. We've already got Wills but definitely need to get those refreshed in the light of the seminar.
Philip Warford from Renaissance Legal has been presenting workshops on Wills and Trusts, and Decision Making for Vulnerable People to parents at Chailey Heritage School for the last 5 years. Philip explains the issues clearly, and the sessions are always interesting, enjoyable and accessible to all. Parents find the sessions extremely helpful in understanding these complex areas and knowing how to proceed. Philip also recently presented a session to clinical staff on Mental Capacity Assessments and Deputyship. Staff found his expert explanation of these areas clear and comprehensive, and his ability to answer their specific questions was much appreciated.
My sister and I have a brother with learning difficulties whose problems have been compounded by redundancy and a diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 63. Our family have never made a claim for my brother as we have supported him to be independent. When his JSA expired we were overwhelmed by the paperwork and lack of advice and support available, until we trawled the internet and found your company, Renaissance Legal. From the initial contact, we encountered nothing but true professionalism and courtesy, from all members of staff. They are all outstanding ambassadors who have provided a beacon of light to our family in dark, uncertain and worrying times, especially Lisa Pope. Special mention must also be made of our consultant, Jayne Knights, who encouraged us all the way. Her advice, knowledge and dedication knew no bounds. There were many occasions, throughout the PIP and EPA submissions when we felt overawed. Fortunately Jayne quickly advised us despite the short time constraints, She worked so hard and tirelessly and with great sensitivity. Her buoyancy and positive attitude certainly kept us focused, she is a truly fabulous and energetic lady who we were delighted to work with, we certainly reaped the benefits, whatever the Pip and ESA outcome will be.
Had I known how straightforward and user-friendly the service would be, and that the fees were so reasonable for what I needed, I would have done it long ago. It is really worth it for the peace of mind it brings. I would really recommend Renaissance Legal to anyone in a similar position. I can't imagine I would have received the same understanding right from the beginning from any other law firm.
Katherine couldn't have been more helpful and at the same time sensitive and knowledgeable. The process was made easier because of her expertise and willingness to answer any questions that cropped up long after our initial meeting. Thank you!
A death of a family member is not an easy time, my sister and I live in West Yorkshire and North Yorkshire, my Aunt lives in Brighton. Clare was able to communicate through email, telephone and letters so the distance was not a problem, and the whole process for our family could not have gone better. Thank you.
We were both dreading making wills and sorting out the future for our sons when we are no longer around and had been putting it off. Having listened to Philip's talk we felt reassured and ready to sort things out. We feel so much better now that everything is in place.
We are very grateful for the time Philip took to explain how the disabled persons trust worked, the consideration he showed in relation to our son and the support we received during the whole process. We are totally satisfied with all the documents received and the service that Philip and Renaissance Legal provided and will not hesitate in recommending you.
Philip and the team at RL are polite, courteous, friendly and welcoming. You feel special as a client and you feel looked after. He thoroughly understood our needs and met those needs in a very professional way. You are valued and everything is explained in an easy manner and you don't feel that it is condescending. Philip has been a pleasure to deal with and I have been very grateful and appreciative of everything he has done for us. I wish that more people could provide a service like Philip does - as there are not many that make you feel valued as an individual and a client. Philip knows his stuff and is very experienced. I would happy recommend and he is one of the good, honest guys. Thank you very much.
Very smooth process, perceptive of and responsive to our requirements, helpful advice and explanation.
I have rather 'over-egged the pudding' but we really can't fault Clare. She is so warm and a good communicator. Absolutely reliable and you know she gets on with the job in hand straight away. Nice not to have to chase someone up.
Clare went over and above by meeting us in Hove on a Saturday. We really appreciate her care, attention and diligence.
The seminar was fantastic – feedback was universally positive with only one attendee saying he felt slightly overwhelmed with information – there’s always one! From my point of view it was pitched at just the right level – people felt that they were being given up to date and relevant information from an specialist lawyer and commented on what a unique opportunity this was for them to receive this information.
Kids First is Merton’s forum for parents and carers of children or young people with a disability or special need. Our group is delighted to have found Philip Warford, Managing Director of Renaissance Legal, who, since 2011, has run regular free workshops of relevance to our members: wills and trusts, and LPA and MCA. Phil’s depth of knowledge, his friendly disposition and approachability to parents make him extremely popular – so much so, we are now booking bigger rooms! We could not afford to do this, however, without the support and help of Renaissance Legal, as Kids First is a project of Merton Mencap, a local charity with limited funding. Renaissance Legal also contributes regular articles for the Kids First newsletter. We are very grateful. Thank you.
