If, like us, you are big fans of change and enjoy the fresh slate that the new year brings then you are sure to enjoy our first update of 2023.

Last year was a fantastic year for Renaissance Legal; we maintained our leading expert status with Legal 500 and Chambers UK, and were announced winners of Boutique Firm of the Year at the Modern Law Awards 2022. We welcomed various new team members, including Trust Manager Tandi Cann, and launched a new Trust company, Renaissance Trust, back in October. If you missed the news about Renaissance Trust at the end of 2022, you can read more about it here.

We’ve started this new year with further exciting change and a fresh new look for the firm, with an updated visual brand, new logo and website that was unveiled last week.

Putting the needs of disabled and vulnerable people first

As you will see from the website and our social channels, we have a refreshed look across the board which we hope our clients, contacts, colleagues and charity partners like as much as we do. We have spent an enormous amount of time thinking about what our clients and users of our website site might want to see and need, and there are some new features that we are particularly proud of. The key one being the site’s accessibility functionality which gives visitors to the Renaissance Legal website a range of accessibility options and the ability to control their own user experience.

As leaders in the provision of legal services and advice to disabled and vulnerable people, and the families that support them, it was essential to us that the website was compliant with WCAG 2 accessibility standards.

We have gone a step further and more than simply being compliant, users of our website can control their own functionality based on their needs, accommodating factors such as visual impairment, ADHD, seizures and other impairments that may affect an individual’s access to the web. We are really proud not just to be able to accommodate visitors with disabilities to our website, but to offer a cutting-edge solution that gives them control of what and how they need the site to work for them.

The Renaissance Group

The launch of the new-look Renaissance Legal brand is complemented by the ’sister’ brands of our separate companies Renaissance Trust and Renaissance Financial, both of which also have shiny new websites. Together, the three brands represent the exciting future of the Renaissance Group, as we continue to expand and improve our service offering in 2023 and beyond.

Welcoming Stuart Price

We have further strengthened our specialist team with the arrival of Stuart Price, who joined us on 3rd January 2023 as a Senior Associate Solicitor from a well-respected regional law firm. Stuart, who is recognised as a key lawyer in Legal 500 and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, joins at an exciting time in the firm’s ongoing growth.

Finally, continuing the positive news, our Managing Director, Philip Warford, has had an article on dementia published by Solicitors for the Elderly (which is available to read here).

We would like to take this opportunity to wish anyone who is reading this a Happy New Year and best wishes for the year ahead.
