Renaissance Legal’s benefits team have been invited to deliver two training events in 2021, for leading providers of specialist training for professionals.

MBL Seminars and STEP Sussex approached Renaissance Legal’s benefits team following the team’s growing reputation for delivering specialist welfare benefits advice in an accessible, practical way.

On 25th February 2021 Jayne Knights and Amy Swinnerton will present a virtual seminar, Welfare Benefits – A Guide Through the Maze – Learn Live, for MBL Seminars.

MBL (Management, Business, Law) delivers the latest updates and practical know-how training in compliance, law and tax and are one of the leading learning and development providers for professional services firms.

The virtual classroom seminar will provide delegates with guidance on the welfare benefits system, identifying the main pitfalls, complexities and fast-changing pandemic-related measures which dominate the benefits system in 2020-21. The event is aimed at people working in a legal setting who need to feel confident and updated in their benefits knowledge. Further information, including how to book, can be found here.

On 10th June, Amy Swinnerton will be delivering a seminar on ‘Welfare Benefits explained for Trustees, Attorneys and Deputies’ with STEP Sussex in June 2021.

The Sussex branch of STEP (the Society for Trust and Estate practitioners) is one of the most active communities in the country, running a full programme of events for members. The event in June is a chance for lawyers working in private client law to better understand what welfare benefits Trustees, Attorneys and Deputies need to consider for the people they are protecting.  Further information, including how to book, will be detailed here.

Philip Warford, Managing Director at Renaissance Legal said:

“There’s no doubt that the welfare benefits system is complicated. For professionals advising families of all shapes and sizes, it’s vital that they understand the basics of the welfare benefits system but, crucially, that they know how to access specialist advice when it is needed. Both Jayne and Amy have built an impressive reputation for delivering complex content in a digestible way and their participation in these two events are testament to their specialist skills and experience.“
