Specialist providers of legal services to families and carers of disabled and vulnerable individuals, Renaissance Legal, are working together with the National Autistic Society to help the individuals and families the charity supports plan effectively for the future using Wills and Trusts.
The National Autistic Society is the UK’s leading charity for autistic people and their families. They help to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. The charity’s mission is to provide support, information and practical advice for the 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK, as well as their three million family members and carers. They also work to improve public understanding of autism and help businesses, local authorities and government provide more autism-friendly spaces, deliver better services and improve laws.
The partnership between Renaissance Legal and the National Autistic Society provides parents, carers and autistic individuals access to the right specialist legal advice via a Wills and Trust telephone service. The two organisations have developed this vital service to ensure that parents, carers and individualsunderstand the need to put the right plans in place for the future which reflect their family’s individual circumstances.
Philip Warford, Managing Director at Renaissance Legal says“We’re absolutely delighted to be partnering with the National Autistic Society to provide this important service and we’re looking forward to helping the families, carers and individuals the charity supports. An autistic individual can be extremely vulnerable, especially when it comes to managing financial matters and making important decisions, therefore it’s vital that parents, carers and individuals understand their options.”
Alastair Graham, Director of Fundraising and Commercial Development at the National Autistic Society continues “We hope that this new service gives families the right tools and some peace of mind to plan their futures. Renaisssance Legal are leaders in their field and the advice they can provide will make a huge difference to autistic people and their families in need of this information”.
