Sussex firm Renaissance Legal has achieved specialist accreditation for its private client team, becoming one of only a handful of practices in the South East region to be recognised as a STEP Employer Partner.

Launched in 2016, the Employer Partnership Programme was developed to help employers deliver the best possible learning and professional development outcomes for staff.

STEP’s Head of Employer Partnerships, Jenni Hutchinson said: ‘STEP’s Employer Partners have all demonstrated commitment to strengthening the industry through high-quality, structured professional development. Renaissance Legal has demonstrated a supportive learning culture in the development of their STEP staff and we are delighted to welcome them to the STEP Employer Partnership Programme as an accredited Employer Partner.”

Renaissance Legal’s Managing Director Philip Warford TEP is a Full Member of STEP and also the branch Chair of STEP Sussex.

The firm won the STEP Boutique Law Firm of the Year award and were shortlisted for Vulnerable Client Advisor of the Year in 2017. Philip said:

We value and endorse STEP as the kitemark of excellence in the industry. We encourage and support all fee earners to become members at the right point in their career. We actively invest in learning and development and encourage staff to train through the ranks, using colleagues as training buddies.

Accreditation publicly reflects our commitment and support of STEP, and the importance of STEP membership for practitioners working in this area.
