Laura joined Renaissance Legal in 2023, initially in an interim practice management role. Since then she has joined our team on a permanent basis, in a strategic project management role, where she works closely with the Directors, providing daily and strategic support to ensure efficient practice across the firm. Having worked in the legal industry for 16 years, Laura plays an integral role working effectively with the rest of the team to manage the firm’s systems and processes.
She is able to draw on a varied background across a number of sectors, including law, finance, education and technology. This extensive experience gives her excellent commercial and strategic insight as well as practical hands-on exposure to a diverse range of working practices and technologies.
If you were not in a Practice Management role what job would you do?
Return to school teaching maybe – if the admin and marking weren’t so onerous! The children were fun to work with.
If you were given a day off work where would we find you?
Walking or cycling outdoors up a hill – with pub stop – preferably in Cornwall.
What can you do that no one else in the office can do?
Juggle. Speak Italian – though unpractised.
If you could go back in history to a specific date or time, what would it be?
Forwards to the future! Failing that – maybe the 1950s – great fashion, exciting cinema, technological advances, commercialisation leading to an optimistic, evolving modern era. (I may have a romantic view of it – I’m sure there would be lots of frustrating stuff to deal with too!)
Where in the world would you most like to visit?
Canada – for the space/fresh air and spectacular landscapes.
