Marley Beaven

Legal Assistant

Marley joined the Renaissance Legal team in Summer 2022 as a Legal Assistant having completed her undergraduate law degree at the University of Sussex.

Originally from Surrey, Marley decided to remain in Brighton after her studies and during this time has undertaken a number of paid and volunteer roles working with vulnerable people to support them. Most recently she coordinated prison and probation service user led projects aimed at implementing change to the services they receive.

In her role as a Legal Assistant at Renaissance Legal, Marley combines her strong organisational skills with attention to detail to support our team through drafting legal documents, liaising with clients and assisting the legal advisors with administration.

Getting to know Marley

If you were not doing this job, what would you do?

Probably something involving either creative design of some kind or plant care. I currently have too many plants for the amount of living space I have.

If you were given a day off work, where would we find you?

Somewhere outside, whether it’s at Brighton beach, an old castle or some woodland or grassy walks.

What can you do that no one else in the office can do?

Possibly not something that only I can do, but I crochet (not necessarily very well yet).

If you could go back in history to a specific date or time, what would it be?

It would be interesting to see any ancient civilizations, especially locations where the ruins can be seen today.

Where in the world would you most like to visit?

I have only travelled a small amount so I would love to visit many different places, however, I would particularly like to visit Iceland for the scenery.
